1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Modern Lab Accounting ("MLA"), including its web software, Android access, hosted services and customer-support interactions. MLA is business accounting and operations software for laboratories and multi-branch lab businesses.
2. Data we process
Depending on how authorized users use MLA, the service may process:
- User account information such as email address, role and authentication information.
- Laboratory, branch, staff and doctor information.
- Patient-related operational information such as patient name, laboratory ID/reference number, doctor, selected services, sample count and transaction date.
- Accounting information such as billed amount, received amount, discount, payment mode, pending balance and expense information.
- Lab-to-Lab transaction information.
- Outsource laboratory payable and payment information.
- Vendor and stock bill information.
- House-visit payment and related operational details.
- Security and device information used to protect authorized account access.
3. How data is used
Information is used to provide requested MLA functionality, including patient registration, laboratory accounting, collections, expenses, pending balances, doctor incentive reporting, Lab-to-Lab transactions, outsource/vendor accounting, staff permissions, statements, backups, authentication, security, audit controls and customer support.
4. Google Firebase and service providers
MLA uses Google Firebase and Google Cloud services for application infrastructure, including authentication, database operations, storage, hosting and backend functions. MLA also uses Firebase App Check / reCAPTCHA Enterprise protections to help prevent unauthorized requests. Service providers may process technical and application data only as needed to operate and secure the service.
5. Authentication and security
MLA uses authenticated access for authorized Owner, Admin and Staff users. Security controls may use device identifiers and role-based permissions to protect business accounts. Customers are responsible for safeguarding credentials, devices and staff access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Advertising
Modern Lab Accounting is business software. MLA operational, laboratory and patient data is not used by us for targeted advertising.
8. Backups and exported files
Authorized Admin or Owner users may create or download backups, PDFs and statements. Once a user downloads, shares or stores an exported file outside MLA, that copy is under the control of that user or organization.

9. Data retention
Business and accounting records may be retained while an MLA customer account or laboratory is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction history, support backup and recovery, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, accounting or regulatory requirements. Where applicable law requires certain records to be retained, deletion may be subject to those requirements.
10. Account creation
The current MLA application does not provide public self-service creation of a new authentication account inside the app. An authorized account must first exist. After successful login, an eligible new customer may complete the MLA laboratory activation and trial setup.
11. Account and data deletion requests
Customers and authorized users may request deletion of MLA account data or associated personal data by emailing modernlabacc@gmail.com or by using the dedicated Account & Data Deletion Request page.
Please include enough information to identify the relevant MLA customer or laboratory account. Do not send passwords, OTPs, recovery codes or other authentication secrets.
We may verify the identity and authorization of the requester before acting on a deletion request. Where permitted, associated data will be deleted or anonymized. Certain records may be retained when required for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention or regulatory purposes.
12. Children's privacy
Modern Lab Accounting is business software intended for laboratories and authorized business personnel. It is not intended as a consumer application for children.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when MLA features, data practices, legal requirements or platform requirements change. The latest version published on the official MLA website will apply from its stated effective date.
14. Trial request form
The public website trial request form does not write the entered details to an MLA website database. After the user completes and validates the form, the website prepares a request in the browser and lets the user choose WhatsApp or Email. WhatsApp opens Customer Care chat with a pre-filled message, while Email opens a pre-filled message addressed to modernlabacc@gmail.com. Nothing is sent automatically; the user reviews the message and presses Send. A copy-to-clipboard fallback is also available.
